I nearly lost faith with the multiposters until I saw this Louise. It is very different to the others and has got a serious feel. Night, bridge, darkness, danger. I don't know if you meant it to be like that but if you did, success! Everybody of course sees things differently and might think the opposite but for me it's that and I like it a lot.

Found it - I knew you had a new one somewhere, I just hadn't expected to trawl through pages of multi-postings to find it. I don't know what gave you the idea of using that dense, black (or anyway deep dark) tone in the sky area, but - it's worked.

Love the contrast Louise, the inky sky shows up the industrial structures perfectly.

Well, a great deal of searching (wading through pages of paintings by an MP!!) has revealed this little gem. The thing I keep feeling about your Manchester series is how authentic they look. They are ceertainly impressionistic, but I feel that I could just step into this painting and walk down the street. Also, the solidity of the pillars is impressive given that you have just applied a simple wash to them. Really, really great work.

Many thanks Satu, Robert, Fiona and Thea. When I took the photo, in daylight I must add, I was asked why had I photographed a rather bleak scene withall those containers. That pink one caught my eye. The section with the foliage is the railway line. I do rather like this sort of scene as opposed to pretty ones. Not sure exactly why that is!

Only you could make a scene like this look fabulous, Louise! It's a super piece!
