I like both your paintings of 'The Theatre of Dreams' Louise! Is it just coincidence that the backdrop is painted in that local rival team's colours?

I know very little about football, but I can appreciate a good painting!

Thank you Christine, Gudrun and Derek. I'm not particularly a football fan either but someone asked me to paint Old Trafford which we pass when driving in to Manchester. It's interesting to have a change of subject. Normally I wouldn't have thought of painting such a scene and after doing these I now have an idea for a more abstract version. Painting's a bit like a journey I think. We never really know what's next!

Always good to rise to the challenge Louise and you certainly have done it. Well done!

They certainly look a very well behaved footie crowd - not a lager can in sight! Wonderfully painted people - just enough detail. Well captured feel and atmosphere and I particularly like the super structure of the stadium and the night sky.

More a Reds fan at Merseyside, but I still enjoy a good piece of art. Super work, Louise, and like Thea, I'm amused at how well behaved they are, lol!

Great strong shapes and use of letters and numbers.Football has a passionate fan base and a great subjec to paint.
