I love the atmosphere in your painting and the colours are wonderful.

I went for a walk in Cwm Bychan were there are ruins of an old copper mine, I took a sketch pad and pastel pencils.I was going back to a ruined building I had spotted before and wanted to sketch, intending to finaly do a painting. I sat down and noted the large clouds gathering, I started to sketch ,after completing the outline of the ruin, the first spots of rain fell, between the grey heavy clouds there was sunlight that at one point lit up the ruin.I retreated down the hill and by the time I had reached the botto it had stopped raining.Sketch ruined ,I painted this from memory.Cwm Bychan is a very lonely but beautiful place, the rocks are stained orange by the copper.
