Lovely colours in the sky, Lin, and the foreground grass and water are well captured. Battling to draw and paint against the changing weather is half the fun, though not when it's freezing cold, then I give up and go home

Softness and clarity at the same time - lovely!

Silecroft, Cumbria, Wet & Wild Autumn Day 14 x 10 ins Pastel Mat Pastels Feb 2011 I did this from a photo I took last October on a wet and windy car park at Silecroft on sea Cumbria. It was so windy I could hardly open the car door as we parked looking out to sea at the wind turbines across the horizon. These houses nestled under the mountains in the distance. I actually enjoyed doing this pastel piece - the paper made a huge difference. — at Silecroft, Cumbria. I'm not that adept with pastels but practice, practice, practice.
