Wow Ken, what can I say except its absolutely fabulous! The redhead does compliment the blues, the reflections in the train are superb. Now can you teach me to paint like this!?!

Yes that was an excellent touch Ken adding the red haired girl, her hair contrasts beautifully with the train colour, super shine to highlight the metalwork of the train carriage as well, lovely metalwork around the place as well as there always is in train stations, excellent painting!

Great watercolour, Ken. Love the busy scene - really good composition and painting of people.

Superb! I recognised your style immediately. All those different blues...... and then some red and green. A great piece.

I agree. Beautiful painting rendered excellently in the medium.Best interpretation of "getting out at Waverley"

Good composition and use of colour and a nice follow on to your other train station painting!

Fabulous painting. I love the reflections.I could almost be there it is so believable.

Ken, I watched you in the throes of painting this and am glad to see the finished result. Wow, your attention to detail is excellent and patiently done and the results are amazing. I can feel myself at Waverley!!!!

Really accomplished and clever. You must have the patience of Job!

Amazing - it's so easy to overdo in water colour - you have tackled it well

Beautiful painting, lovely composition

A great watercolour, Ken. Beautiful reflections and so crisp and fresh. Love it,

This painting, the largest (12 x 21 inches) I've painted for a long time, features another of my railway station scenes. I was almost the last passenger off this train when it arrived at Edinburgh Waverley. The morning sunlight on the platform, striking down through the station's glass roof, was stunning. I took out my camera and started snapping, but all but a few of my fellow passengers had already disappeared. To compose this painting I added several people from other photo references to make up a crowd. I was glad I chose to add the redhaired girl and her friend; the fiery colours of her long hair seem to set off the dominant blues, or so I think anyway.
