This is excellent Jonathan, on so many levels. Excellently observed great portrait of one of football's finest but you've also captured a cigarette card quality of a bygone age. This man masterminded a League Cup Final victory over my team after we went in at half time 2-0 up. Gary Birtles was a contributor in our undoing that March afternoon in 1979. I'm not bitter!
