Nothing wrong with monochrome - no, it's not quite monochrome, but it very nearly is, and I think it works very well.

Oils. 20 x 24 inches. The picture started life as a 30 x 20 inch canvas, but it looked a little uninteresting at that size, so I resized. It turned out to be a venture into almost monochrome. It sold at my very first exhibition. I was inspired by Rowland Hilder; who influenced me most in painting skies. Paint a sky per day, he advised! For this painting I used an old sketch of a craft I saw near Pin Mill when I was at HMS Ganges.
