Thank you all for your wonderful comments and encouragement - I have only just worked out how to use this site so am very tardy in recognising your input! It makes a huge difference to receive such positive feedback especially as painting can be such a solitary occupation. I was very inspired by Tai Shan Schierenberg and his landscapes which allowed me to free up the strokes.<br />
