Flippin big those Norwegians, dont see any happy accidents in this painting. Very nicely done .

What a fabulous sight this must be. Sounds as though they have the right idea about going down to the pub. Your painting has a tough rugged feel Gerry, like it!

Sverde i Fjell: (Swords in Rock) a monument near Stavanger in Norway, to commemorate a battle in the year 872, which resulted in the unification of Norway into one kingdom. It was the custom in those times that when the battle finished, everyone stuck their swords into the ground, and went off to the pub. Edit: the highest sword is 30m (=100ft) tall.
