I am just in the process of painting Willy Lotts cottage. Visited Flatford Mill about 18months ago and found it smaller than I thought it would be. Lovely painting.

Many thanks for all your kind comments. I visited Flatford some years ago and used photographs to get the right atmosphere and feel for the painting. I wanted a fairly precise look for the cottage to make it stand out, and keep the foliage quite soft. Not sure if I ended up with the right result!
