On my husband's 80th birthday we walked along this canal, in brilliant sunshine. I decided such a complicated scene would be impossible in watercolour, so it is in acrylics - and took ages!

After a career teaching Science, I am now retired and have time to enjoy a local Art class. I find pastel suits my style but I also enjoy trying to use water colours to good effect. I love painting flowers but also enjoy buildings, which so far I have painted from photos I have taken.
