A painting with a story, Fiona and very nicely done. Love the story.

Awww I love it Fiona, and your tale about them is great, how nice to have such charming company, 😀

A lovely story and a great image.

Some rather delightful brush work Fiona, this is a good standard of work. Time that old thing was in a curry! Well you don't expect me to be reduced to tears by your little tale. Just about to watch Leicester play MU, expect Jules is still following them.

I love this Fiona! How wonderful that you have the company of your two girls whilst you paint, your story makes my imagination run riot! I hope you are not painting in the hen house lol!!!!!

How lovely to have two such lovely painting pals, you seem to have an affinity with birds Fiona. How does spugs get on with them? :) A super way to use up left over paint. Shame on you Alan B, curry indeed. I hope Fiona hasn't taught Bubbles to read !

A bit different from your usual style, Fiona - they sound great characters! I really like the way you have got the gorgeous shiny feathers.

Lovely character. I particularly like the rich reds and browns Fiona.

Just adorable, thanks for the story, too, lovely chooks!

How lovely to have painting pals like this - and lovely pictures of them, Fiona

She looks like she has tons of attitude! Lovely story, Fiona!

What fun to have a painting pal like this, I usually just have the radio! I especially like the idea of her perching on your easel. A great and funny insight into the life of the artist!

Love hearing about your animal friends, Fiona! Lovely rich colours in this painting.

She's lovely.

I like it Fiona, it must be so nice to have a painting pal, and a lovely subject.

Many thanks Mia, I could write a book. Linda, they are good company but I wish I could train either of them to make a cup of tea. Thank you. Thanks very much Lewis. They lost Alan, he’s on a fifteen minute watch! Thank you darling for your recipe ideas...lol. Ha ha not quite the hen house Margaret, thank you for your comment. Thanks Val. Spuggs doesn’t mind them at all, in fact they can be very useful clearing up all the bird seed that Spuggs drops. They are Margaret, you wouldn’t believe the stories I could tell. Carole, many thanks. Thank you Thalia, very kind. Maureen thank you very much, appreciated.

Seok she’s an incredible character, Bonnie is a third of this ones size but has twice the attitude! Thank you for your comment. Thanks very much Tessa. Thankfully it’s the smaller hen that perches on my easel, I would end up with a pile of firewood if this one sat on it! Lol I will try at some point to paint the other one but she doesn’t sit still as well. Thank you very much Jenny. Thanks Emma. Many thanks Lesley, she’s adorable.

They did lose but came back strong in the latter stages, pity that. I must just add that Wolves are 6pts clear! Keep up the good work, super little painting.

Ha ha, lovely pets! lovely painting too.

Thanks again Alan. Carolyn thank you very much.

16” x12” oil on paper. This is Bubbles one of my two painting pals. They are both getting on a bit in years and when it’s cold and wet they both beat me through the door to were I paint. Bubbles has an old pine box that I keep newspapers in for the fire, with a towel on top and Bonnie the smaller hen either sits on top of my easel or on top of the fridge freezer....where she has a fleece blanket! I had some left over paint and a ready subject.....although I think she was just about to nod off.
