Thanks Alan, at that time I hadn't a clue about negative shapes abstract or not. It was different from my pencil studies all done about the same era.

Thanks Seok, not the most finesse in applying the paint or taking the photo. The original looks good on our lounge wals however.

20 x 28cms gouache on board. Just found this. From my very younger days . This for Fred's notice as he also depicts jazz folk. In the 50s at Newcastle City Hall when she was touring with Hendrick and Lambert.
