Really like this. Just bought some acrylic inks and wasn't sure what to do with them, you've given me food for thought, thank you.

If you like painting with watercolours but find you never mix up enough paint, acrylic inks are for you! They are incredibly strong, you need only a little and you can do everything you do with watercolours (wet into wet etc). Plus they do not lift out or blloom once they are dried. I tend to start pouring the inks onto a wet surface Irough 300lb watercolour paper) then add detail, acrylic paint if you want. This was a big picture, almost a metre, I could never have done that with watercolours although it is possible if you have the powder watercolours and mix with gum arabic - then you can mix up big quantities. I'm told the FW inks are more permanet than watercolour inks but I guess time will tell!

Many thanks for the tips. can't wait to start having a go with mine now. That is a large painting, I bet it looks amazing in the " flesh " so to speak. Welcome to POL, lots of nice people on this site. Looking forward to seeing more of your paintings.

Brilliant ! What a beautiful painting.

Superb work Debbie, I love the sense of freedom you achieve with your style. Very well done. Regards, Bill.

you have a lovely gallery................love the colours and distant winter tree

I agree, brilliant ! and I also sense the freedom as Bill. You have a great gallery. Thank you for your comments on my still life. I love to see the brushstroke too.

Debbie, I love all your paintings here. Sometimes when you click on an interesting thumbnail the picture can be a bit disappointing; not here, they are full of vibrancy and drama.
