Venetian backwater no3
Several years ago, I made my first trip to Venice. I was bowled over by the city, which seemed so familiar, thanks to Canaletto. As you might expect, I took a lot of photos, but I was keen to see beyond the Grand Canal. The result was a number of pictures of the "side roads", small canals in the more residential areas. This painting is the third of three that will show these less well-known areas of a beautiful city. The painting is on a deep-edge canvas, painted with high quality artists oils.
