Winter morning

I think you've used black in this one? It would give you a less heavy tone if you mixed your black from, say, Ultramarine and Burnt Umber, or Viridian and Burnt Sienna. Even so, this painting works for me - the only suggestion I'd make is that you could perhaps have taken the tree branches out and further over the water (mind you, I've seen old Dutch paintings with trees like this). Like the dusky pink/crimson in the sky and water, and the distant hills where you've used colour rather than just tone - the picture is all the better for it.
