Inspired by the works of Hieronymus Bosch and the story behind 'Removing the Stone of madness' I wished to recreate his painting but adding my take on how I see the faces of the characters. This is quite special to me as having suffered with mental illness I am so glad I did not live in the times of when this practice would normally take place!
