Yes it works well and please me Christof. I would have been tempted to show more of the crowd you mention.

“Perugia old centre” Umbria, Italy. 56x38cm, Watercolour on Saunders Waterford 640g. The medieval university town of Perugia is a place of some style. The streets and Piazzi are full of life! I painted this watercolour because the scene is so typically for the town. The arcades and the steps in front of the Duomo di San Lorenzo are crowded with young people sitting, chatting and enjoying the warm evening sun. I kept my pallet simple and used mainly warm colours. The facade in the bright sun I painted with more or less all dry brush strokes, whereas the shady areas I created with a wet in wet approach. I hope you like the outcome!
