“Fontana del Nettuno”, Piazza Duomo, Trento, Italy
Watercolour 56x38cm, on Saunders Waterford, rough, 640g. In the late afternoon the sun illuminated the Neptune’s Fountain, the center of city life in the historic old town of Trento. Here are the busiest bars and street cafés lined up below the arcades. The facades of the houses surrounding the fountain had been already in the shade. Some people set on the steps, other strolled around and talked with friends. This is one of my favorite places to represent the Italian flair very much. I just had to paint it!
