I like it!! However, if the castle is your main subject, you could strenghten the value contrasts there and tone down the orange tree just a little to avoid pulling our eyes there. But it's beautiful as is!

This def the best of the bunch in this gallery - I prefer yr other gallery - and nice one Jack; but for my part - Leave the Castle as it is; I reckon it's always better when the subject is somewhat undefined - because it's not really the subject - the build up to it is good, the strong horizontal a difficult hedge to jump for the eye it's a classical cutoff stroke - and yes yr right the right tree value pulls you out of the middle plane again - not sure whether i'd change it tho Jack - it's a push n tug thing. But I'd certainly paint a few versions.

I like this as it is...and I could agree with Jack & Dai...perhaps a version that starts at the orange hedge? with the castle thus a bit bigger and leave the trees as you have them here?
