A very intense young man, by the look of him; you have caught him without painting him to death, as it were .... the portrait is full of life, promise, and possibility. Most child/youth portraits make you wonder if the future adult wouldn't happily destroy them; not in this case - in fact, he might well retain it and try to live up to it! Once I had character: let me fulfill it!
