Watercolour on Saunders Waterford 200lb paper. We walk by this river when we stay in Ashburton , Devon, a lovely valley walk and on this day was bathed in sunlight. I am intrigued that the path seems to drop straight into the river. I imagine that there was a weir there at some time.
