Super painting of this lovely Venitian scene Brian. People have commented on the data you have included, but you have indicated in your statement that you have resisted adding too much detail, which is the critical skill in this type of work.

I think there is just enough detail in here. Lesson to myself!! Cut the detail. Your watercolour skills are inspiring

I have done this painting from photo's and a sketch that I did last time I was in Venice. As always when working from photographs I have to fight against putting too much detail in the picture.
