Oh so true! Really like the idea of looking out, almost through a keyhole. Love the design

This takes me right back to an old fort, since partly demolished and the remains more or less destroyed by landslip, at Headon Warren on the Isle of Wight. It had numerous small windows like this, no structure like your mine tower, but others.. must be 50 years ago or more that I was there, before the Parish Council had it broken up, allegedly for safety reasons but in fact because it enabled a crooked local builder and councillor to get his hands on the aggregate (the old bugger can't sue me, he's dead now). A little corner of history, gone forever.

That a lovely painting, a lovely idea too.

Such a clever painting Anth, I really like this.

Thanks all! I've got to thank Paul Stangroom for the concept, and he does a much better job than me to be fair, but this was a mega-fast (for me) turnaround so I'm still quite pleased with it :)

Love the concept of this Anth, super painting and a good cause. Good luck with the fund raising.

Oils on canvas board, A5, 2018. Created for a charity auction in aid of Alzheimer's UK, and my first painting in months. The thought has occurred to me that this work has some relevance to the subject...in darkness, looking out into the technicolour world - frustration at being able to see it but not interact with it. Maybe that's just me being more flowery than usual. Anyway, hope you like it :)
