It is a very powerful painting. Well done, on more than one level.

How moving and how brave of you. I am so sorry for your loss - it must have been such a difficult and harrowing time. It is cathartic to express your pain through art and I hope this powerful painting has given you some outlet for your emotions.

An incredibly striking image, very powerful, excellently executed. I hope that it gets the exposure that it deserves and that it has the desired effect in raising awareness.

Thank you all it was such a difficult decision to share and in the sharing I feel I can move on a little When the covers are pulled up to the chin there is no awareness of the trauma the patient and carer are suffering

A disturbing yet powerful and moving image, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am agreeing with all above Anne and so brave of you. I had P/Canceer and have managed to survive it with surgery and medication, but still have checks. I have spread the gospel to all males that I know and can talk to.

My admiration to you Anne, for your bravery and selflessness, that in your darkest times you think of others.

I lost my husband to prostate cancer last year We discussed doing this painting as a way of promoting awareness of this devastating illness and remind the public to be checked regularly I have kept his anonymity but also know the image is powerful and upsetting The paint application on his legs was put on manually with my finger ends It was cathartic ind deeply emotive in its production
