Thanks for all the lovely comments! It was work by artist Nicole van Axx (particularly her portraits of wolves) that first inspired me to try some animal portraits. Now I've realised that nearly all the animals I have painted, figuratively or in a more abstract style are on the endangered and vulnerable list. Currently working to put together some way of giving something back for all the joy I've had from painting them. More news of this will be on my facebook page soon.
