Lovely movement Amanda how you've captured the curl and collapse of the waves.

Love the movement in those waves Amanda!

Thank you, Fiona and Sarah.

love this painting, I can almost hear the waves. There's something very fascinating about rough seas, bet you've been able to get some good photos in this last couple of months!

Thank you, Jenny. The last time I was in Cornwall was December - we have relatives there, but live 50 miles from the nearet coastine, so I didn't capture any of the really high seas. However, seas don't have to be terrifyingly rough to be fascinating. Which is good, 'cos I'm too much of a coward to go near those 40 foot waves...

Super painting of these very active waves rolling in Amanda

This is a larger version of a painting that I made - and sold - last year, based on a photograph taken (by me) at Portreath, Cornwall in December 2012. It's been painted in frustratingly short sessions, with an interruption courtesy of the half term holiday, but it doesn't seem to have suffered unduly. ~~~~ Oil on canvas, 30 x 90 cm
