Watership Down and Ladle Hill

It's great to see drawings on POL, Amanda... spontaneous and fresh. This is very well done...I love the book Watership Down, it has always been one of my favourites.......Seeing this drawing I am inspired to read it again!

I'm lucky enough to live within walking distance (although since I've gone back to full time work, walking time has been severely curtailed :-( ) of this hill. It - and its less famous friends - are glorious subjects. When we first moved here I dug out my ancient paperback and reread the book. I probably ought to read it again now that I have walked the landscape and know it better.

I agree with Ruth, it's got that 'on the spot' feel to it.

U are so lucky to live so close....beautiful drawing of my favourite book of all time...

Derwent Soft Drawing Pencil on A4 paper From a photograph. Because, sometimes... there's not time for a painting, and it helps to treat a subject in different media.
