This is a wonderful painting Anthony,the detail of the boats and the sky and water are excellent.I am a northumbrian and I have family living in Berwick,so it is nice to see the homeland again, .

Thank you, Jim. There were two coasters squeezed into the dock today, (Wednesday) but I didn't see them arrive.

Agreed a glorious scene, such gorgeous colours and anyone who lives near a harbour will know this scene so well of the busy pilot boat keeping an eye on and guiding the bigger boats, lovely renderings of the boats

Large coasters wriggle in and out of the harbour at Tweedmouth, Berwick upon Tweed under the guide of the harbourmaster/ pilot. The Pilot boat (ex lifeboat) is used to nudge the vessel in the required direction. It then follows it out to sea and collects the pilot.
