Here's another - done quickly and the lines need to be sharpened up but the idea's there.
great movement in the above work. Nice streamline work Michael. Reminds me of a sumi I painted and use for a watermark for my poems
Love all the smashing works and the way people have responded to the challenge. Challenge is a far better word than competition in this sort of thing. Hoping many more will respond.
Here's my effort at last!. Managed to find time this morning. My resident Heron, and a frog which is his favourite treat! Hope you like it...
Some more lovely images. Alan, love your heron and frog (2 for the price of one!) :)
Here is my second attempt to the March Challenge. I tried to draw the stork as minimalistic as possible, using an Artline Calligraphy pen, NO pencil drawing first. Went in immediately with the pen. I hope you like it :)
Mia, love your minimalist stork! so clever :) I'm loving this challenge, here is my second one. A black-headed gull (winter plumage) landing (I think) on snow - from one of my own photos. Watercolour and ink.
And another. I've been much influenced by Benjamin Chee Chee - the Canadian first nation artist - just love his work.
Some wonderful pictures here, you've all risen to this challenge. I'll give this one a miss (apart from my 'one I did earlier'). I've a number of pics in my head at the moment and 'animals in movement' isn't one of them. It's a little distracting. I'm sure future challenges will provide something right up my street, so I'll content myself for now with enjoying all your contributions.
Looks like there'll be another mammoth entry for this month, and so much diversity. Just one more- Moving, but just slow.
This is my latest (minimalistic) entry to the Challenge. I used a Artline Calligraphy Pen, NO pencil drawing first. I started immediately in ink but it took me 4 attempts (they are in the bin!!) before I got this result. The photo is a bit odd because of bad light. What do you think? :)
Some great work here - move over gallery!!
