I see, that once again, we are being treated to 4 a day every day, with prints available and arty bollocks thrown in for free. I am sure I read in one of his posts he has a ten year back catalogue..........
Yip, I noticed it too. Seems a bit much, does it not. Bri
Seems it's "Blow your own trumpet" month re advertising your wares. People need to make a living, but some are a bit blatant about it. Not a complaint, just a comment.
Don't give up the painting Jim. Until such times as a new limit is imposed, the best option is not to comment, like, or even click. Boredom will eventually set in, though there seems a never ending queue of those ready to join the Four a Day Club. I must put my hand up and take some responsibility for the 'Four in a day here's how you do it" art lessons, as I did suggest to the artist that it would be more instructive than just posting 4 new paintings. I am now hoping it doesn't become a series in it's own right. You are right though, the forum would have been a better place. Alan did very tactfully suggest to the artist that 4 a day wasn't a great way of interacting with the community, but I think he knows that. he had a splurge of postings in 2007 and then nothing until the recent inundation. At the end of the day you have to allow that 4 in a day is allowed and to do so is not breaking any rules. Surely, though it is better to argue for a change than to take up knitting and deny your followers (official and unofficial) a little bit of filling in the middle of the multi-post sandwiches.
There's a guy who has just posted four seaside photographs on the gallery, and is openly offering prints for sale. This must stop! Perhaps Dawn will have a word with him. What is he thinking?, doesn't the title PaintersOnline not make it clear enough, it does to me!
I've noticed his photographs and was tempted to comment that he is in the wrong place but thought any comment might be encouragement. After all, he describes himself as a 'blogger' among other things so belongs to another world as far as I am concerned.
If someone lets me have a name I can certainly have a word. Dawn
Frankly, 'having a word'isnt enough. The mods on this site are too soft...just delete the offending article. Photos are not welcome here. People who post photos are not welcome here. Bombing the site with pictures evrry day is not welcome here. Delete...delete...delete.... One.forum I go to sets rules and if you break them.you get a seven day ban. I haven't been hit yet, thankfully...
Exterminate! Exterminate!
Well, they do work within the rules, but as I write a lady called Anne Fisher has seven pieces on the front page. That, quite frankly, is ridiculous. It risks becoming a private forum for a few inconsiderate posters, which surely runs contra to the initial intent of POL. Bri

I do hope that POL management do something about this. POL is a lovely community, I've really appreciated the encouragement and advice I've had, especially as I am not very confident. It would be a real loss if people started deserting POL as I am not aware of many forums (fora?) where amateur artists can get the valuable feedback that people give here. What I do now is search the Gallery by artists' names (as well as following), instead of scrolling through like I used to. More manageable although I am sure I miss good stuff too. Jim - please don't desert us!
Another poster with seven paintings on the front page. SEVEN! Bri
