Apologies to you Syd if you think I am having a go at you, because I am definitely not and I am not sure if you are still able to paint nowadays, but if you can, it would be lovely to see your version of this clematis and any other challenges you put up. Obviously some of the artists are enjoying all this and probably are looking forward to some more. Now if I were still painting using ordinary paints I would also have a go, but the paints are now put away so I can concentrate on my wool art and that would take too long to do and everybody would already be on to Challenge No. 30 by that time!!
Fair enough Syd. Hope your surgery will be sorted out for you soon. Still you have to admit that the forum is buzzing with your challenge at the moment.
THIS IS MY VERSION OF SYD'S CHALLENGE. FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY A MEMBER I STILL CANT SEE MY PAINTING WHERE AM I GOING WRONG? I also need help with joining the forum group Sorry I am being a bit thick not good with new systems.
Thanks to Sylvia's comment on the Gallery, I know now how to insert my answer to Syd's challenge. Here it is, all comments very welcome.
Not too sure if it has run it's course Syd - let us see if it goes any further, after all their is no limit on lengths of running threads.
Thank you very much Syd for this superb challenge, it was a pleasure to take part in it. If you feel like it, give us another one please. Anything will do as long as we can choose the materials and technique (I am not difficult - lol :)). I think challenges give a certain boost to take up the brushes and paints if you have a little painters block. It certainly worked for me. I made 4 other paintings since this challenge. http://www.painters-online.co.uk/artist/MiaKetels
I missed this challenge. Will take part, and enter before the weekend, ta Syd.
Thanks, Syd for keeping this thread active. It is in the drawn stage. This lovely sunny weather is keeping me busy on the harvest. I'll be back :)
The weather is holding well, so five minutes to pop this in here. It isn't quit the colour of your original picture, Syd, when I printed it out for reference it came out this colour, I hope you don't mind. I have however tried to maintain the blousey show - off this bloom is. I also wanted it to look as if it was in sunshine :) Thankyou for the challenge. It was certainly that.

Carol, this is beautiful! It's funny how we all painted the same flower and each painting is very different and all lovely.
A lovely painting of a beautiful clematis Carole well done.
Really fantastic Carole. As Margaret has said, every clematis is different and each one is gorgeous.
