ivy2 How to paint ivy

Watch as Paul Hopkinson demonstrates an ivy leaf in watercolour, a perfect addition to your Christmas card designs.

This tutorial will teach you in real time how to paint a realistic ivy leaf without jargon and in easy to follow stages.

The lesson is suitable for all levels of ability and will give you an insight into painting illustration style botanical pieces. The ivy leaf would make a lovely addition to a personalised Christmas card. Simply mount it on a greeting card or insert it within an aperture card. Alternatively it would look great all year round framed and on your wall.

Whatever you decide to do you will need some reference materials, and they can be found by clicking here: feel free to download both the outline drawing, reference photograph and mini PDF detailing the colours and materials you will need for this project.
