Demonstration: Polar bear

Step 1

Draw the basic shapes in pencil.

Step 2

Add facial features and legs with a coloured pencil (ensuring it can be easily erased at the end of the drawing stages before starting the shading or colouring in).

Step 3

Form the body and head in more detail. Add eye, ear and feet.

Step 4

Add more detail to the feet and face.

Step 5

The black and white drawing shows the form and texture, which is not easily seen when in colour.

Step 6

The finished drawing using coloured pencils.
