This is gorgeous, Yoko. The transparency is just lovely. Thank you for your very kind comment. I am trying out the gouache, which does not have the transparency. I may use watercolour to begin with and work up with the gouache. I shall see. Doing a painting challenge tomorrow, so just getting my stuff ready, and hoping it is a nice day for it!

Hello, Shirley, many thanks for your very kind comment. You chose the right media gouache to describe the strength and power of sunflowers in your painting. I have been struggling with watercolour and have made a wee trial of other media - acrylic, pastel, gouache or oil, then ended up with mixed feeling or dissatisfaction on any media. It is like human relationships to get on with through the joys and pains, or ups and downs, Good luck to your challenge tomorrow.

Love the way your sweet peas are almost dancing with such a charming sway to them Yoko. Such wonderful translucency.

Beautifully energetic Yoko.

A lovely, lively, and loose feel to this, Yoko and I love your choice of colours....just right for sweet peas.

Amazing fresh watercolour, Yoko.
