Hello. Well done on all yr drawing studies - keep doing them it's the only way to progress - personaly I prefer this oil to the watercolour. Your subject of 'doorways' - exits and entrances - is very worthwhile following - it allows studies of spaces and different light in different spaces - where the shadows are usually very strong and delineated - and the 'invitation' of open doors, half closed doors and closed doors etc - always offer 'mystery'. I find doorway painting's very interesting, a view of a doorway you have seen or a fleeting glimpse into a mind and its working's, always fascinating.
