Japanese Anemones - iPad Art

Japanese Anemones - iPad Art
Comments

A little departure from your usual style, Christine, but it works very well. Love the rather gentle sense of movement the painting conveys, almost as if the flowers are wafting through a light breeze.

Oooh this is different, lovely background too Christine.

I agree with Carole about the background to this - it really is very effective against the anemones. I must do some more iPad art! BTW - did you know that in October 'Mark Hearld's Workbook' is being published - I have added it to my wish list on the Amazon site!

I actually spend all my time ripping Japanese Anemones out of my flower beds. In a moment's madness a few years I planted some without knowing what thugs they are. Attractive, but definitely thugs. However, your painting shows them in a prettier light here, so I'll forgive them here for the purposes of art. I have no idea how to do iPad art, but I am sure it is taking it place in the future of art and before long we'll all be doing it. I do love the colour combinations you have used in this one and particularly the background.

Thank you Seok, Carole, Julie and Thea for your kind comments which I do appreciate. Julie, I'm a step ahead of you and have pre-ordered the Mark Hearld book! Thea, yes they do tend to take over but I don't have to deal with that as I live in an apartment and the gardeners here are really good at keeping them confined to a shady section of a border where they provide a lovely splash of colour!
