What a great idea Christine. <br /> One of our themed sketch book collaborations is based on Pattern. This would have gone beautifully in it. <br />I found Patterns as a theme the most difficult. So did several using things from nature ( as you have done here) I used tree bark, butterflies and a cockerel.<br />The silliest one I did was mixing fairy liquid with paint blowing bubbles through a straw and the idea is to place blank paper on the top of the bubbles.....<br />Ok, guess who swallowed instead of blew. ?<br />

They could also be little faces with pointed hats, almost oriental. Can anyone else see them? Very imaginative Christine!

Bet you had fun doing this Christine - it is so eye catching. Is it all done with pen! Or have you added some paint as well? I can see a link to Zentangles here too!

Thank you Sylvia, Fiona, Debs, Marjorie and Julie for your comments. Sylvia, I would have loved the Patterns theme, I seem to see patterns in everything! You&#39;re right Julie, the Zentangle patterns influenced this and I used watercolour for the beaks. It&#39;s interesting to see that the tangles confused some of you!
