Fish supper

Fish supper

I love the background which is the perfect foil for the seagull's white breast. It also adds to the whole coastal feel of the work. Really charming and very cleverly thought out.

Works well Christine and tells a story , like it a lot , well done .

The gull has got a mean look in his eyes to tell you: yes, I can and I did! Very very good and the background works beautifully with the rest. I think it gives the painting a seaside feeling.

Unusual design is super and brilliant colours t catch the eye, Christine

I wish I could work as quick! great great work love it:)Linda

Love this one Christine. The background is perfect. Very true to life as well!

Thank you so much Thea, Dennis, Satu, Pat, Linda and Louise for your lovely comments, seagulls are such scavengers, a Harry Ramsden's has just opened here and I don't think it will be long before they find their way inside!

Lovely collage Christine. I visited a Worthing studio open house today where a collage artist was using Wilkinsons ready-mixed wallpaper paste, which she thought was better than some of the rather expensive recommended glues.

Excellent Christine, I love the whloe package!

Love the background, very jolly seaside feel !

Thank Shirley, Fiona, Debs and Glennis for your kind comments. Shirley, thanks for the tip, I will be off to Wilko tomorrow, the Mod Podge I use at the moment is quite expensive so it's worth a try!

Really bright and cheerful image for a gloomy morning. I think the backing paper works brilliantly too Christine. Well observed all round!

Great seaside collage Christine.

I love that background Christine, to me it looks as though the seagull is sitting on a very fancy tablecloth enjoying it's lunch.

Christine, I LOVE this! This just speaks of sun, surf and a gull hovering around for his supper - so cleverly done!

Hang on Studio Wall

i saw a seagull pinch a bag of chips off a lady enjoying her seaside lunch when I walked along the prom yesterday, it provided the inspiration for this! Not sure about the busy background but I wanted to put the piece of wrapping paper I'd saved to good use.
