Well you've pulled it off Christine! Totally Venice :)

Avril is our queen of rust and peeling paint but you have done ever so well with the collage too. Very detailed and convincing looking Venetian doorway Christine. Well done!

Lovely and the striped pole is just such a super addition - you know it is Venice when you see one of these!

Lol! I know what you mean about admiring Avril's expertise! But this is super, Christine! I love the way the writing on the collage papers lends the requisite textures and the palette is simply gorgeous.
