It was suggested that you approach a greetings card company with these collage images Christine and I agree that you definitely should if you haven't already that is! This one I'd buy, it makes for a super birthday card!

Damn Christine I could just gobble this up on a hot day like today, excellent work

beautifully done I like it very much Christine

Yum Yum! I would buy it too Christine, the card that is! Love the background!

Thank you so much Louise, Ros, Sandy ad Fiona for your lovely comments. I haven't done anything about approaching a greetings cards company Louise, I keep thinking about it but, although I get good feedback from my POL friends, I don't have the confidence to take the next step, maybe one day!

What about having some samples printed and go and have a chat with the man I told you about in his hut near the beach? These collages are so good that it's a shame to keep then hidden. Do it now Christine before the season is over!!

Very original and lots of fun. Well done.

Thank you Satu and Avril for your kind comments. Satu, I did go to see Tom Freer and he asked me to email him some images, which I did, but he didn't get back to me so I assume they were not what he is looking for. I have been looking at card companies over the weekend and will try one or two just to see if they might be interested, after all, nothing lost, nothing gained! Thanks for your encouragement.

I imagine that they'll be a lot of competition Christine but as you say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you don't hear from the card companies, don't be disheartened and definitely keep trying others. I have approached galleries in the past and thought how rude they were not to even reply to my email and then, one does respond..It only needs one and then that goes on your cv and then other people are interested. You need to try a lot. Just perhaps 3 of your best images (including this one I think) is enough and nothing too long winded in your introduction. Very good luck, they would make good greetings cards! Hopefully someone here will give you some more practical advice which I can't as I've never done greeting cards but in my experience of life, we have to keep trying and knocking at those doors.

Thank you Louise, I really appreciate that. I was quite happy just printing off my artwork for my own use but now the seed has been sown so I will give it a go. I realise there's a lot of competition, you only have to look in a card shop at all the lovely designs on offer. Let's face it at my age I'm never going to make a career of it!

Age has absolutely nothing to do with it!

Sorry I've not been around for a while, but I agree with the others these would make super cards - go for it!

That's a cracker Christine, just what I could have done with while I was away in this hot weather :)

Great use of the patterned papers in this Christine. It is mouth-wateringly good!

It's not a career we are looking for but the great feeling of achieving something Christine! I'm so glad that the seed has been sown because I seriously think that your work is well worth publishing somehow. Tom might still contact you, you only emailed him a couple of days ago. Good luck!

I agree 100% with all the above comments about the greeting cards, Christine. This is again a stunning addition to your wonderful collection. Go for it!

With all this hot weather ice cream is very much on my mind! Collage using found and hand painted papers.
