I agree with Carole, I also like how the distant view is framed by the old gates Willie. Wonderful mellow stonework a sign of its age. Past generations of my family come from Co West Meath, is it in the same area do you know? I would like to visit sometime.

Thanks folks. We stayed in the cottage in the background. The location is on the R Boyne near Trim. The Co of West Meath is the next County inland (west) to Meath and about 30-40 miles NW of Dublin. Lots of ancient history there.

Thank you for the information Willie. My mothers family were Irish immigrants from West Meath to Galloway, they were known as the Galloway Irish……I would like to visit the area, one day! Thanks again 🙏
