Interesting picture, styilzed hand? self portrait is always a challenge. well done Wenda.

Very 'film noir' which I love by the way. If you're not happy with the way the mouth looks I'd do it again until it does look like you, it would be a shame to give up on such a great image.

Great portrait, but can I say a bit tongue in cheek that I don't think your viewers are necessarily going to be looking at your mouth, if you get my drift. Very brave self portrait - I wouldn't dare reveal all as I would probably get people throwing rotten tomatoes at their computer screens as I don't have your model figure and beautiful face. P.S. I actually like the way you have done the mouth as there is there is something very coy and shy about it which is in nice contrast to the boldness of the portrait.

Thank you all for your comments. I wont try to do the mouth again, as 3 attempts has left that area of canvas looking thicker in paint than everywhere else, therefore changing the texture, so i will leave well alone. The actual photo of me shows hardly any mouth as the flash blinded the photograph, so its been a bit of guess work, but my own lips are fuller than that slightly. Still, over all i'm happy with it. It will only be hung on my bedroom wall anyway!

Thea, you may be right! I also have the pic in my facebook gallery, and its getting some good comments, especially from my male friends! And on the positive side, on there, i did not say it was a pic of me, but many have asked if it is, so there must be some likeness!

I've attempted to paint this picture of myself from a photograph taken 2 years ago. Faces are definitely not my strong point and i have struggled with the mouth and attempted it three times. Although pleased with the painting, and i'm happy with how the body turned out the struggle with the mouth has left it 'not looking like me'!
