A good composition, pleasant painting.

Never mind; keep trying - we all have frustrations with watercolour; the lighter and gentler the better, is all I can say! It's when you try to produce the more dramatic effects that things seem to go wrong - it's a fleeting medium, best suited to broad, once only applications of the brush. Yet, on the other hand, dramatic applications of wet in wet colour can also work - sometimes! I like your trees, save for one thing - the farther tree stops abruptly and then there is a green cap: take the branches and twigs through that green, vary the strength of the green to show shadow even if, granted the distance, lightly. I do get the impression that you didn't do this from direct observation - I often don't either, given mobility problems and general old age,but am lucky in having plenty of greenery in sight of my window - it really helps to get out there amongst the foliage, and to look at how it all really works.

yes, everytime i look at this painting i see the unfinished tree. i was doing it in art group and sort of rushed to get it finished as time at home is limited with 4 children. I WILL go back and sort it now. i was kinda hoping it would go unnoticed !!!!??? once i have sorted it i will repost! thanks for pointing it out though, as it does need doing and i probably would have been too lazy to change it!
