Beautiful translucent effect on the aluminium. Did you prime the aluminium or sand it gently? I’ve always wanted to try painting on metal but so far not got round to it.

Well, I think we can all be glad that you've resumed painting. I've never painted on aluminium - presumably you don't get much help from the surface texture, or hindrance for that matter; something new to try.
