View from my garden

I like the quality of this sketch -is it watercolor crayon. It captures the Cretan landscape well.

I used water soluble graphite - called Monolith. I like the feel of graphite and I usually keep a water brush in my pocket to splosh about with. I make a lot of sketches and have always valued keeping a sketchbook. I love the quote by Braque, who describes his sketchbooks as being like recipe books - to browse when you don't have any ideas what to cook...
