24 x 24 ins. this simple still life was painted for a demonstration i did for the Antrim Art Club,i worked quickly using a 1/2 medium flat brush and completed most of the work in about 2 hours. i wanted to show how simple objects around the house could be used to make a composition. My inspiration was the fantastic colours plums turn when ripening. I chose a mint green background [oil over acyrlic] just to see what might happen.
