I tried

Good for you ... and I like the title too!

Tracy as you know watercolor is the hardest mediumand as you say you tried. You have got nice graduation in your colors going back to the far distance and variations in the individual hills, enjoy it have fun. Perhaps if you choose a light direction so you could put more stronger shadows on certain sides and folds of the hills to give more form and a little more variation in the water, its a nice little picture keep going we all have them, I am going through it now. :))

This picture is wonderful for a watercolour i agree with the comment regarding shadow just a small amount would improve the picture. My goto medium is acrylic too, i am also trying watercolour but i have to remember light before dark. You have done well trying a different medium as long as you enjoy doing watercolour and get that relaxation then you are on a winner. Good luck

Thank you so much to you all for the comments. And the advice is wonderful. It is so difficult working the opposite way to acrylics. And yes it was fun and relaxing so that's all that really matters. It has also helped me to be less heavy handed with my acrylic, funny enough 😁👍
