Love the merging of colour, did you use Indian ink for the darks?

Lovely painting. For me it has a slight retro feel and two dimensionality that I really like.

There's almost a warning note in this - the trees seem (to my fanciful mind, at least) to be doing their best to stop you looking further: normally, that probably wouldn't work, but it does here because of the tonal variation between the blackish big tree near centre, fading up into a blue (which gives height) and the lighter but still rich colours of the trees on the outside of the group; I like the red tones on the left, repeated on the lower right, as well.
