No idea what the ebauche technique is, I'll have to look it up...but I like this.

I love paintings like this where objects seem to emerge from the dark. Lovely!

I really like the result Thalia. It certainly makes the lights and colours sing and has an air of something about it.

Thank you so much, Martin, Lewis, Marjorie, Heather, Russell, and Carole, Ebauche is a very traditional method, laying in the darks and wiping out where needed, building up the scene from there, very briefly!! Best to look it up!
